About John Buday

John Buday works part-time with  Buday TLP as its podcast producer and social media manager. Since 2022, he’s been producing the company’s innovative “Everything Thought Leadership” video + podcast series.

He has brought a dynamic touch to a podcast that could have been just one more boring series of talking heads. From John’s guidance, “Everything Thought Leadership” (ETL) uses such techniques as “digressions” that stop the conversation and explain key points; illuminating charts and graphs; videos and photos of people mentioned in the podcasts; and special effects that make the videos more engaging.

The podcast series includes 50+ episodes to date that feature interviews with leading business experts (e.g., “Crossing the Chasm” author Geoffrey Moore; pricing strategy consulting firm Simon-Kucher & Partners’ founder Hermann Simon; Martin Reeves, former head of thought leadership at Boston Consulting Group; and “Epic Disruptions” author Scott D. Anthony) and top thought leadership professionals at McKinsey, Korn Ferry, PwC, Accenture and other leading firms. John is also the producer of “The Huddle,” a video tutorial series in which Bob Buday teaches the biggest lessons he’s learned in the thought leadership profession since 1987.

John also led the promotion of Bob Buday’s 2022 award-winning book “Competing on Thought Leadership.” Those efforts led to Bob as a featured guest on leading marketing industry podcasts such as Mo Bunnell’s “Real Relationships, Real Revenue,” Douglas Burdett’s “The Marketing Book Podcast,” Jason Mlicki and Jeff McKay’s “Rattle & Pedal,” Glenn Leibowitz’s “Write with Impact,” Jay Harrington and Tom Nixon’s “The Thought Leadership Project” podcast, Steve Goldhaber’s “Interesting B2B Marketers” and Vijay Damojipurapu’s “B2B Go-To-Market Leaders.”

John puts his skills to use creating and editing videos for other clients as well, including Entrepreneur & Innovation Exchange, Family Business.org and the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship at the University of St. Thomas.  John graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst with a major in Journalism and minor in Film Studies.

John welcomes new clients and he can be reached at JohnB@budaytlp.com.
