Published in 2022, the book continues to rack up honors from book competitions, and accolades from those who have read it.
HOPKINTON, MASS., May 1, 2024 – More than two years after it was published, our book “Competing on Thought Leadership: How Great B2B Companies Turn Expertise Into Revenue” continues to win book awards.
The most recent award – the book’s 13th – is as a finalist in the American Book Fest’s 2024 American Legacy Book Awards. Robert Buday’s “Competing on Thought Leadership” (Ideapress Publishing) was chosen as one of six finalists in the “business general” category. (The winner was “Leading Through Disruption” by Andrew Liveris, former CEO of Dow Chemical Co. HarperCollins Leadership published that book.)
“Competing on Thought Leadership” and more than 500 other winners and finalists were chosen out of thousands of non-fiction and fiction entries, from authors and publishers worldwide, according to American Book Fest. The books were published between 2010 and 2023, including those from top-tier publishers such as Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Simon and Schuster and Wiley.
“I’m thrilled to see our book get honors two years after it was published,” Buday said. “My goal was to write the definitive book on thought leadership. I felt no one had positioned the concept as a business strategy for professional services and other business-to-business companies, only as a marketing strategy. Winning book award honors in general business categories is very important to me, and this is the fourth one for our book.”
“Competing on Thought Leadership” was first published as a Kindle book in December 2021 and in hardcover in January 2022. Since then, it has been recognized in the following book awards programs:
