Big Food Should NOT Go Back to ‘Normal’

In his latest article in Forbes, published May 21, our client Hank Cardello argues that the Covid-19 crisis forced the normally risk-averse food industry to change…and that they can never go back to the way things were.

Hank has published dozens of articles in Forbes over the past several years. In this latest one, he argues that the food and restaurant industries’ response to the pandemic shows that they are capable of change if they have the will. He shows examples of innovations that have helped large and small companies survive the pandemic and that should remain even after the crisis is over.  And he also points out how consumers attitudes are changing as a result of the pandemic — presenting a long term challenge that will be just as dangerous to the food industry if they don’t adapt.
