HOPKINTON, MASS. (Feb. 28, 2022) – Alan Alper, who played a key role in helping Cognizant Technology Solutions harness thought leadership to drive rapid growth, has joined Buday Thought Leadership Partners LLC as principal and chief operating officer.
In this new role he will help Buday TLP to accelerate its drive to become the premier thought leadership consultancy.
Alper recently left Cognizant as VP of Global Thought Leadership Programs. He joined the company in 2007, as it crossed the $2 billion revenue threshold and was on its way toward achieving tier-1 status as a global provider of IT, business process and consulting services. Since then, Cognizant’s revenue has grown nine-fold to $18 billion, propelled by digital services.
Over those years, Alper launched Cognizant’s authoritative thought leadership journal Cognizanti and an online community for Cognizant clients. He led dozens of primary research studies that helped the firm gain recognition on numerous digital topics. He spearheaded the development of books on the business impact of digital technology, by Cognizant thought leaders such as Malcolm Frank, Ben Pring and Paul Roehrig. He was instrumental in helping the company deliver a memorable thought leadership presence at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Alper also oversaw content development initiatives including live-streamed video webinars, blogs and audio podcasts, e-books, videos and animations.
“I am delighted that Alan has chosen to work with me and my team as the next step in his illustrious career,” said Buday TLP CEO Bob Buday, who launched the firm in 2020, 22 years after co-founding Bloom Group as one of the first thought leadership consulting firms. “I have followed Alan throughout his career, deeply admiring the extraordinary skills and creativity he has brought to the art and science of thought leadership at Cognizant. He has the right skills and drive to take this firm to a whole new level. But it’s not just Alan’s skills and experience that set him apart. Over the years, I have been awed by his profound decency in the way he treats others. I am truly blessed to be able to work with him in driving this firm to new heights.”
“Bob has truly written the book on thought leadership and his firm is the go-to partner for B2B companies seeking to elevate eminence and open minds and perhaps even pocketbooks with thought leadership,” Alper said. “I am really looking forward to helping clients of Buday Thought Leadership Partners win in the marketplace of ideas with thought leadership.”
Alper and Buday share a singular goal: powering up the growth and stature of B2B organizations that compete on delivering and marketing superior expertise — and, by doing so, making Buday TLP the premier thought leadership consulting and marketing firm.
