Two Major Book Awards Honor ‘Competing on Thought Leadership’

Robert Buday’s new book, “Competing on Thought Leadership,” was named a finalist in two major book competitions: the International Book Awards and the National Indie Excellence Awards.

For the past 14 years, the International Book Awards has honored fiction and non-fiction books from all sectors of the publishing industry—mainstream, independent and self-published. Entries for the 2022 competition came from Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, Wiley, Hachette Books, McGraw-Hill, Taylor & Francis Group/Routledge, Zondervan, Forge, HCI Press, Hay House, Greenleaf Book Group Press, Skyhorse Publishing, She Writes Press, Ideapress Publishing (which published our book) and hundreds of national and international independent book publishers. “Competing on Thought Leadership” was recognized in the “Business: Marketing & Advertising” category.

The National Indie Excellence Awards recognizes fiction and non-fiction books from small to midsized independent publishers and self-published titles. Our book was recognized as finalist in the “Marketing & Public Relations” category.

The book also recently won an “IPPY” in the Independent Publisher Book Awards as one of the top three business books published by independent publishers in 2022. Along with these recognitions, “Competing on Thought Leadership” has been featured on three major business podcasts and is attracting glowing reader reviews on Amazon and LinkedIn. The book’s hardcover edition has been a bestseller in Amazon’s Market Research category.

Many thanks to Ideapress and to our colleagues and friends who helped us make this book happen!
